YouTube Can Be A Fantastic Tool For Your Business

With over a billion views every month YouTube is the biggest and most valuable video marketing and advertising tool for businesses.

YouTube gives you the chance to show off your products and services, share your knowledge and expertise and engage with exsisting and prospective customers.

Here are 5 ways to use YouTube as an effective tool for your business:

1. Create a YouTube channel for Your Business

This should be the first thing you do. You can find plenty of businesses on YouTube that upload lots of videos yet haven’t even created their own channels. Creating a channel for your business allows you to keep your subscribers updated. Like other social media platforms there’s plenty of space allowing you to tell the world what it is your business has to offer.

2. Tag your videos

Tagging your videos with the right keywords is vital. There’s no point spending money on creating impressive videos if nobody is going to see them. Like your website meta tags, carefully choose keywords that are relevant to your products or service.

3. Use Video Promotions & Competitions

Like Facebook competitions, launching competitions and promotional campaigns through YouTube is a great way to gain traction for your business. Encourage your Twitter followers and Facebook fans to participate in these contests and reward them with prizes and discounts. How about asking your customers to upload videos of themselves using your product?

4. Call to action

Social networks are all about engagement and YouTube is no exception. A call to action inevitably gets people to participate in discussions. You can do several things to promote a call to action and encourage engagement. Ask people to subscribe to your channel, post their comments, answer a question, rate your videos, go to your channel etc. All of which can help drive traffic to your website.

5. Customer Service

If a picture is worth a thousand words then a video is surely worth a million keywords. People love to see things in action as it leaves little to imagination as compared to listening to someone talk or reading lots of information. Create “how to” videos to show your customers get the most out of your product or service.
